7 months..what the what?

Where did the last month ago? I cannot believe that Liam is 7 months. Here are a few of his achievements:
  • He has 2 teeth

  • He crawls all around our apartment and gets into everything

  • He talks all the time (He does say ma-ma and da-da, but I don't think he knows that we are ma-ma and da-da)

  • He smiles and laughs

  • He sits up like a pro

  • He eats lots of baby food and is starting to eat some real solids

  • He is starting to pull himself up on things

He is going to be walking before we know it and I am not sure that I am ready for that. We love our little boy. He is just wonderful! Here is a fun little video of him crawling and looking into the camera. Happy 7 months Liam!

The List

Things to do before we get to New Hampshire:
  1. Rejoice because Roland is done with all his tests (He just left to take his last one), and his first semester of Dental School
  2. Get Roland his last present for Christmas
  3. Pack all of our stuff for NH (Try not to pack too much so we don't have to pay too much to check bags)
  4. Run a 5K tomorrow (really excited but a little nervous)
  5. Super-clean our apartment ( Vacuum, Mop, Clean bathrooms, the whole works!)
  6. Go to bed early on Saturday
  7. Wake up at 4:00 am on Sunday (Why did I book our tickets so early again?)
  8. Leave for the airport at 4:45 am
  9. Get to the airport at 5:15 am
  10. Plane leaves at 6:30
  11. Touch down at 1:00 pm in Manchester! ( 2 days and counting)

Some weeks are better than others.

Last week was, well rough. I got a little injury so my running didn't go exactly how I wanted it to, then I got a cold which totally knocked me out. Liam got his 2nd tooth, but still had not gotten back to his normal sleeping schedule, and Roland had 4 tests in 5 days ( and still had to go to his classes).
This week has been much better. My cold and injury are slowly going away and with the help of some pain medication I was able to run 4 miles yesterday without feeling like a gimp. Liam now has my cold, which is a bummer, but he only woke up once yesterday which is definitely an improvement from last week. Roland only has 3 tests in 5 days (and no class) and 2 of them are now finished! Only 1 more test on Friday and then he is free! Oh and we are going to New Hampshire in 4 days, and Christmas is in 9 days! So there is a lot to be grateful for. Some weeks, like last week just throw me off a bit. But I must say Liam always warms my heart. There were sometimes last week when I would be super frustrated and all Liam had to do was flash his amazing smile and I felt so much better. Our little dude really is the greatest!

Merry Christmas Liam style

What do you do with a Christmas tree, candy cane, an outfit that says "My First Christmas," and an adorable baby? You take lots of pictures of course! I hope that you do not tire of all the pictures of Liam, because I just can't get enough!

The Gala

This past weekend Roland and I were able to go to his dental school's holiday gala. It was a pretty fancy event so we got all dressed up and spend a night together. It was at a beautiful hotel and there was dinner and dancing. The night was much needed. Roland and I have not had a night out together in a while. It was a lot of fun! I wish I had some pictures of the actual gala, but we did not bring our camera. You do get to see our Christmas tree though. I love this time of year!

I even got my hair done. I have not been this dressed up since our wedding!

He sure does like bathtime

Now that Liam can crawl (well he is still in the scooting phase, but he really can get around) he follows me around everywhere. If I am in the kitchen, he wants to be in the kitchen. It has made me think I really need to get some gates. The other day we turned on the water for him to take a bath, and he crawled to the bathroom. I guess Liam really likes his baths. He has done this multiple times since and last night we caught him in the act. We were both amazed that he scooted all the way to the tub. It is so cool as a mom to see how much he learns each day.

Thanksgiving in Miami

We were very fortunate this year to be able to go to Miami for Thanksgiving. Roland had the whole week off from school (a much needed break), so we were able to spend a week there. We did lots of fun things. Going to the beach, parks and just hanging out with family are a few of the things we did. Liam was great. I really think he is going to be a social person because he is always in a good mood when there are lots of people around and usually only gets cranky when he just has mom and dad to hang out with. One of the best things about being in Miami was that Grandma Rosie, Sandy and Colby were there also. It was so fun to hang out with them and the rest of Roland's family in Miami. As for Thanksgiving day, it was wonderful. Lots of good food and family. I am so thankful to be surrounded by so many wonderful people in my life. I am grateful for my husband and my son. I am grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ that gives me so much direction in my life. I know what I am supposed to do. On a side note, I am so excited for Christmas. I really love this time of year. Well I think that is it. I really am blessed with a wonderful life. Enjoy the pictures.

Liam with Bito. Bito would always say, "Smile for me," and it was weird but he would smile for everyone but Bito.
Liam's Thanksgiving feast of Gerber sweet potatoes.

Not too happy about being at the beach. I of course forgot all his swimwear so we bought some swimmy diapers and called that his bathing suit.

My baby is growing up

Liam is 6 months old today! It seems like just yesterday when we took him home from the hospital and now he can do so many things. He can reach for things (mostly my hair), sit up, crawl (scoot really), laugh and smile. He is one of the best smilers I know. I am amazed at how fast the time has gone, and how much he has changed. When he was weeks old I thought he would never sleep through the night and now he is a super sleeper and sleeps through most every night. I just love how happy Liam is most of the time. He really is a great baby. (Not that I have another baby to compare to, but I just think he is wonderful). I really cannot think of my life without our wonderful boy. Happy 6 months Liam! We love you! Liam - day 1

Liam- 6 months. Don't worry he does have a diaper on!

Sometimes he falls asleep on the floor. Our cute little thumb sucker.
