Dear Apartment 503

I don't know if you have noticed but there has been quite a lack of posting lately. The reason: We are moving. I have mostly happy feelings about the move, but we have really enjoyed our time here in Dallas and are going to miss it here. The whole time we have lived here we have lived in the same apartment, 503 in the Village. Despite my many complaints about the apartment (mostly the size of the kitchen) it has become our first real home. So here is my good bye to our apartment,
Dear Apt 503,
Now that we are moving away I would like to take a moment to thank you. When we moved to Dallas Liam was 3 months old. So thank you for being the place where he learned how to sleep through the night. Thank you for providing shelter for us when there were crazy storms outside. Thank you for being the place where we could take our new baby Landon when he came home from the hospital. Both our babies learned how to walk on your carpet. Thank your for being a great place for the kids to play and get into mischief. Thank you for all the birthday celebrations and for being the place where we had our first Miguel family Christmas. Thank you for being the place where we could have our family meals together and where we could talk about how the day went. Thank you for being the place where we could all kneel together at night and pray for thanks for all the blessings that had come to our family that day. Thanks for all the laughter and joy that was found in your walls while we were there. You were are first real home as a family and we will never forget our humble yet great, Apartment 503. Love,
     The Miguel Family

Fun Outings

The past few months Roland has been home a lot because he finished school. (Woohoo! More on that later). So we have been on a lot of fun outings as a family. It so nice to spend time together.
1. We first went to the Perot which is the new Museum of Science in Dallas. It was awesome!

 2. The Dallas Wind Festival

 3. Hiking at Cedar Ridge Preserve

 4. Splash Pad!

Easter 2013

We had a lot of fun for Easter this year. Every year our apartment complex has an Easter egg hunt. So Friday afternoon we made our way over there. Liam and Landon had a blast finding all the eggs and playing in the bouncy houses.

Easter morning the Easter bunny hid the Easter baskets and left a trail of eggs for the boys to find the baskets. The boys didn't really get it, maybe next year.

Then we got all dressed up for church, which was wonderful. Our ward put on a beautiful musical program and it really made us focus on the Savior which is what Easter is really all about.
