Roland Graduated!

As of last weekend Roland is an offical graduate of BYU! It was so nice to be able to see the graduation. Lots of Roland's family came up to see it as well, so that was really nice. Congratulations Roland! Now off to dental school.

This week is going to be busy

So first off...23 days to go! I can't believe it, but both Roland and I are really feeling ready for this baby to come. I am getting just a little sick of being pregnant. I really thought that my feet couldn't get more swollen and then this week they did. I don't even fit into sandals anymore. I totally understand what the statement "barefoot and pregnant," means now. That is seriously all I want to do. Take my shoes off and put my feet up. But, other than that, I am still feeling pretty good.
So this week is going to be crazy. Tomorrow we have a hospital tour in the evening, Tuesday I have a doctor's appointment, dinner with Gretchen and then a breastfeeding class. Wednesday should be relatively calm, but then Thursday a bunch of Roland's family comes into town. (Which I am really excited about). Friday is Anthony and Cindy's wedding and Roland's graduation. Both of which we want to go to, but we think we are only going to be able to go to the graduation and then we will go to the reception at night. Saturday we hopefully should just be able to hang out with Roland's family. But yeah, it is going to be crazy this week...crazy but good. It would really be crazy if Liam decided he wanted to come this week which really is a possibility.I am hoping not, but we will see... So I guess I will update you on how it all went at the end of the week. So I am just going to take it easy for the rest of Sunday and gear up for this wonderful week!

What we have been up to lately

So I feel like we have not blogged about what has been going on in a really long time. So here is a little snipnet of a few of the things we have been doing in the last few months.
One weekend in January (I think) we went snowshoeing in Aspen Grove. It was a little more difficult than I thought it was going to be...being pregnant you really get out of breath. It was really fun though! The last weekend in February we went down to St. George to see Parks and to go to his baby blessing. It was really fun to see Parks and hang out with the rest of the family. It also got us really excited for when little Liam comes! Woody!

Me and Parks!

Kate and Tyler playing before the baby blessing

Then mid-March we went to Jon Criddle's 80's birthday party. It was really fun to dress up and show off our 80's style!

Roland has been finishing up his last semester at BYU, and for work he has been in a reseach group. This is what he gets to wear to work. He could probably explain more on what he does, but basically he does surgury on mice.

The last item is that yesterday we got to see Poul run his first half marathon! It was a little stressful trying to figure out where the runners were going to be, but we figured it out and got to cheer him along the way.

Before shot (look how happy he looks)

During (this was about mile 10)

THE FINISH!
After shot (still looks happy but just a little tired) You are awesome Poul!
So those are some of the exciting things that have been happening in our lives lately. I am about 35 weeks pregnant now, so we are really getting anxious for our little boy to come. Like I said Roland is almost done with school, which is really nice, and I am on the countdown for when I am done. This school year is really flying by. I can't believe it is already 4th quarter. So anyways, I hope everyone enjoys the rest of general conference today. Hopefully there will be some more updates soon.

Why would anyone EVER do that?

So since I am a high school chemistry teacher I get some pretty weird things happening in my classroom. But yesterday I had an experience that left me wondering, why would anyone ever do that? So the incident happened during 3rd period (my class from non-heaven) , and we were cleaning up a lab on concentration. I was in the front of the classroom and one of my students said that another student had thrown salt all over their lab desk. So I went to go investigate the situation, and it turns out that he had, so I told him that he needed to clean it up. When I was done talking to that student I looked around the rest of the lab and there was salt EVERYWHERE! So I asked some students what happened and they told me that same student (who shall remain nameless) had gone on a salt throwing rampage and had thrown salt all over the lab. So I had another talk with the student and he looked at me like I was crazy to even get frustrated about it. Which left me a little mad, but it happens. So sorry if this was just me venting my frustrations, but really can anyone think about why he would do that in the first place? The only reason that I can think of is that he just wanted to make people mad. Why woud you do that?
Oh...and if you really want to make a pregnant teacher mad inform her that she is mad and frustrated because she is pregnant "Oh..she is just mad because she is pregnant," is the exact quote . Ahhh....gotta love high school students!

This is me at 27 weeks.....

So here I am 27 weeks pregnant. I didn't really know how big I looked until I looked at these pictures and yes, you can definetly tell I have a little baby in me now. Liam is a lot more active now and I feel baby movements basically everyday. I am getting excited for when I hit week 30, because then I feel like it is nearig the end. Roland and I are so excited for baby Liam to get here! About 3 months to go! So here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure. Don't ask...I didn't know how to pose for a pregancy picture.

Since people requested belly shots of Roland....

Poul got into it too...

We are having a boy!

So, we had our second ultrasound today (I am so glad that we did), and the we found out that we are having a boy! We are so excited! Just so you know we really like the name Liam Edward Miguel, and we are so glad we don't have to pick a girls name, because we were clueless with girls names. So yippee! Oh, and Roland got into Tufts too! So it has been a really good day!
