Pinterest inspiration

So here is my latest project inspired by Pinterest. Covering a lamp shade with fabric to make it look cooler. It was supposed to be easy (just hot gluing) but it got a little complicated with the shape of the lampshade but I really like how it turned out. It adds a little more color to our living room. The Great Flour Fiasco of 2012

Yesterday I made bread. Liam loves to help by pouring in all the ingredients including the flour. While I was kneading my dough, Liam decided I need a lot more flour and it escalated from there. I really didn't notice until I saw Landon covered from head to toe in flour. It was really funny until I decided I wanted the chaos to stop and Liam disagreed. Being a mom is never boring!

Easter 2012

We had a very fun time celebrating Easter this year. It all started with Family Home Evening and learning about all the Jesus and the Resurrection. Then we dyed some eggs for an activity. Liam really likes hard boiled eggs by the way. He ate most of them.

On the Friday before Easter we went to the Easter egg hunt that our apartment complex puts on. I find it kind of funny that all the egg hunts I have seen here in Texas it is just a bunch of eggs strewn all over a field. Not much of a hunt, but it was fun anyway.

On acutal Easter Sunday we went to church and then had a Easter feast with some friends. I did not take any pictures at dinner because I forgot, but here is one with Liam all dressed up and cheesy as ever.

Happy Easter everyone. What a wonderful holiday were we can think more about our Savior and all that He has done for us!

I am so tired...

During Saturday's sessions of general conference Landon was obsessed with lying down on the couch pillows. It was really random and crazy cute!

Liam loves to push his little brother in the stroller. He does a really good job and hardly ever crashes into anything. I love my little helper!

Camping!

For spring break this year we decided we wanted attempt camping with the boys. Roland's friends from dental school were going up so we decided to tag along with them. We made the three and an half hour drive up to Beaver's Bend State Park in Oklahoma. I had never been to Oklahoma before so it is always fun to go to a state you have never been to. We knew that there was a 30% chance of rain and thunderstorms the night we went and of course the weather man got it right! It poured the whole night! But we stayed dry, thankfully and we survived the night with the boys.

The next day it was a beautiful day so we enjoyed the river and tried to do some fishing. It was so nice to get out of the loud city and into the peace of nature. We only stayed for a couple of days, but it was such a nice getaway and it is always refreshing to get out of town for a while.

Liam likes to climb..on everything! There have been many I day when I have found him out in the patio like this. He tells me he is sleeping. Good thing we live on the first floor!
